WHAT-

The West Chicago Music Seen is a series of recitals and events that offer a unique opportunity for musicians in the western suburbs of Chicago to display their unique craft. Each event will focus on one or two musicians' messages as they perform musical pieces that inspire emotions and thoughtful narratives. Audiences will be treated to all sorts of musical styles: jazz, pop, classical, contemporary, and pieces beyond genre definitions. Please join us for our inaugural season! (2018-2019)

Why-

IMG_1247.JPG

Local musicians that don't play guitar and sing often have no venues to present their art. Usually musical events on a local level are organized as what is known as coffee house events. These performances are populated by singer/songwriters, and usually amateurs. Music Seen is a place for experienced musicians in the contemporary/classical genre as well as singer song writers, jazzers, and performance artist! Basically, we are taking the coffee shop model and making it more inclusive.

When-

The Music Seen is partnering with the non-profit organization People Made Visible and the entire West Chicago community. We will be presenting our events at local businesses in West Chicago, IL.

Please check back here for more information regarding the times and places of events.
